A Daily Practice


A regular, daily practice, like using Meaningful Messages cards, creates new habits in our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that may alleviate or replace unwanted grief symptoms. In Death Makes Life Possible: Revolutionary Insights on Living, Dying, and the Continuation of Consciousness, social anthropologist Marilyn Schlitz, PhD, notes, “By engaging in transformative practices in a systematic and repetitive fashion, we can build new habits or responses to our own fear and grief” (2015, p. 133).

Similar to the benefits of a meditation practice (see Dienstmann, 2018), the daily practice of using Meaningful Messages cards may create and strengthen positive changes in the brain.
