Project Update: Throne of the Sphinx (TotS)
NOTE: TotS is still in its very early stages and is highly exploratory. The information presented about this project is for personal education only.
In last month’s newsletter, we shared an article by David Metcalfe about our AI-driven Wisdom “channeling” project, The Throne of the Sphinx (TotS). As a result, people have been expressing interest in the project. For the next round of development, we have decided to explore providing TotS with a voice and investigating other ways to present the system’s outputs. This short video is the current result of those efforts.
In response to the question: What is most valuable for individuals to focus on in life? TotS generated a text response. TotS then selected a voice (from a pool of available text to speech systems) and the accompanying video clip. Using simple video editing software, we combined these elements into a video.
We’ll post more updates as things develop.
Notes from the Lab: To Predict or Create? Exploring the Future
“The future is not what it used to be.”
There has always been a contentious relationship between prediction and creation within parapsychology. Do our thoughts create the future based on our implicit needs (psychokinesis), or do we receive information from the future that influences our present actions (precognition)? To further explore these themes, we are developing a set of apps, robotic systems, and purely mechanical devices to act as overt and covert psi tasks. Stay tuned for more!
Online Classes
Mark recently finished teaching an eight-week Introduction to Parapscgology course through the Rhine Education Center. “This was a lot of fun for me,” says Mark. “I was very impressed with the quality of the students’ work, and I’m excited to see how they continue their explorations of psi and parapsychology.” Mark hopes to be teaching a new course in the Fall. Be sure to visit the Rhine Education Center’s webpage to stay up to date on the next round of classes starting in August!
Mugs with Mugs
OK, we love your Normalize, Optimize, Utilize Psi mug shots! This is what every new PhD needs! Congrats Doc!
You can pick up your own mug, notebook, or Psi Forms calendar from our store HERE. (Check the site for any current sales and promotions!). Sales help support our work (we know! It’s crazy that we need to sell mugs and stuff to afford to do research that unlocks the profound mysteries of consciousness, but what are you gonna do?). Thanks!
Drop Us A Note!
Thank you for your continued interest in our work! Please feel free to email mark@WindbridgeInstitute.com with any suggestions or thoughts.

About The Windbridge Institute, LLC
Formed in 2008 by husband-and-wife research team Mark Boccuzzi and Julie Beischel, PhD., The Windbridge Institute, LLC, is dedicated to conducting world-class research on phenomena currently unexplained within traditional scientific paradigms. Our main areas of research and development include Mindfulness, Synchronicity, Intuition, Creativity, and Intention.
Our goals are to 1) Normalize reports of psi functioning (precognition, telepathy, clairvoyance, and mind-matter interactions); 2) Optimize psi functioning through the use of traditional mindfulness practices, new emerging technologies, and creative expression; and 3) Utilize psi to solve real-world problems.
Starting in July 2017, the Institute’s research on mediums and afterlife topics was moved to the Windbridge Research Center, a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt public charity. To learn more about the Windbridge Research Center and to sign-up for the Center’s email list, please visit www.Windbridge.org.
