The Virtual Lab:
At the Windbridge Institute, we use innovative internet-based technologies to create Virtual Laboratories. Many of the studies conducted at the Institute are specifically designed to take advantage online resources. We utilize the latest web-based tools to streamline subject recruitment and data collection, and we employ collaborative online applications for developing research projects, performing data analysis, and drafting publications. This approach allows us to conduct cutting-edge research with a geographically separated team while maximizing productivity and minimizing overhead costs.

The Physiology Lab:
This configuration allows us to collect basic physiological data, including EEG, GSR, EKG, and HRV, under a variety of experimental conditions.
The Consciousness Lab:
This configuration allows us to conduct experiments dealing with mind-matter interactions utilizing Random Event Generators and other Micro- and Marco-PK devices. In addition, we can perform other basic research experiments dealing with directed intention, healing, precognition, telepathy, and clairvoyance.
The Instrumental Transcommunication (ITC) Lab:
Utilizing custom-built, environmentally controlled enclosures, we can test, evaluate, and create ITC technologies under various experimental conditions.
The Imaging Lab:
Our array of full-spectrum cameras combined with thermal imaging and a Kirlian photography system allows us to test, document, and analyze a wide range of phenomena.
The Cross Reality (XR) Lab:
Utilizing the latest hardware and software development tools, we are applying virtual reality (VR) and mixed reality (MR) to the study of psi. Not only can we assess and test newly published applications, but we can also develop and deploy our own custom tools and experiences.
The Design and Fabrication Area:
Sometimes we need equipment that just isn’t available from a store, so we build it! We are equipped to develop and deploy everything from custom software applications to simple devices with embedded electronics to more complex machines. If we can’t make it in-house, we call upon our network of experts pulled together from Mark’s years of experience working in the software industry and the museum exhibit development field.
Field Work:
Research at the Windbridge Institute also takes place in the real world. Institute researchers are equipped to investigate reports of spontaneous psi where ever the events occur. If we can’t bring the phenomenon into the laboratory, we bring the laboratory (and rigorous research methods) to the phenomenon.
The Research Library:
While online databases play a significant role in our research, we also maintain a research library. The library consists of several hundred carefully selected titles (many of which are out of print) and multimedia materials discussing topics ranging from parapsychology to classical scientific methodology and statistics. In addition, we maintain a catalog of back issues of peer-reviewed journals, including The Journal of Scientific Exploration, The Journal of Parapsychology, the Australian Journal of Parapsychology, The International Journal of Near-Death Studies, the ITC Journal, and more.
External Resources and Collaborators:
Having all the equipment and resources we need to complete all our studies under our roof is a nice idea, but it is simply impractical. Some equipment is just too specialized or expensive for us to justify its purchase and ensure its proper maintenance. So what do we do when we need access to a high-density EEG, DNA sequencer, or gas chromatograph? We work with our research partners! Our network of professional contacts allows us to take on projects that far exceed the capabilities that we maintain in-house.
