Summer 2015 Update

wilogo_fb

We experienced an illness and a death in our family earlier this year and have been a bit off the grid as we try and get our feet back under us. Now that we’re a bit more stabilized, we wanted to catch you up on some institute news, events, and publications.

Featured Upcoming Event

The Final Transition Conference

September 11-13, 2015
Tucson, AZ, and online streaming

Science, Death, and Consciousness

Do you have more questions than answers about the end of life? Few topics are as full of myth and mystery in our culture as end of life discussions and experiences. And few topics are as present and pressing to Baby Boomers than the end of life. The Final Transition Conference introduces science where there had been speculation. It also introduces good research where there mainly had been rumination.

Limited spaces will also be available at the conference for those interested in CEUs and CMEs. The Final Transition Conference will also be streamed live for those who are unable to attend. For more information about streaming and attending, click here.

Presenting at the conference will be: Stephan A. Schwartz; Sheila Warnock; Betsy MacGregor, MD; Cynda Rushton, PhD, RN; Sharon Murfin; Barbara Dossey, RN, PhD; Pim van Lommel, MD; Larry Dossey, MD; Peter Fenwick, MD; Julie Beischel, PhD; Jim Tucker, MD; and Marilyn Schlitz, PhD.

Until July 30th, registration to attend will be $395 (including daily breakfast and lunch), while livestreaming for those who can’t attend will be $195. Then the prices will increase.

For more information including a personal video invitation from Stephan Schwartz, please visit http://finaltransition.net/

Grant Awarded

We are so pleased to have received a 2014 Bial Foundation bursary (our fifth) for a project titled “Development and implementation of a comprehensive survey of secular American mediums” which aims to “identify potentially unique demographic, cognitive, psychological, physiological, familial, cultural, and phenomenological characteristics of self-identifying mediums in the US using quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis methods including computerized text analysis techniques.”

New Windbridge Institute Website:
Science that matters. Knowledge you can use.

While our old website has served us well for the past seven years, we decided that it was time for a change. In addition to all the content from the original site, there are now three paths that visitors can choose:

For the Curious – a quick overview of our work: research briefs, media interviews, and other items designed for the general public.

For Researchers – the details of our research: relevant peer-reviewed papers and information about collaboration with us on research that would involve the participation of the Windbridge Certified Research Mediums.

For Clinicians – topics related to after-death communication and spiritually transformative experiences: relevant papers, information, and links.

Please take some time to explore the new site!
