Windbridge Institute Receives Eileen Coly Grant for Research

With the general economic downturn of recent years, the Parapsychology Foundation, Inc. (PF) has been unable to offer scholarships, awards, and research grants. Windbridge Institute Director of Research Dr. Julie Beischel was honored to be the first to receive the newly renamed Eileen Coly Grant for Research now that the PF is once again able to support these endeavors.

Dr. Beischel’s project, a psi experiences survey, used established survey development and piloting methods to create the Windbridge Psi and Related Phenomena Awareness Scale (WPRPAS) which assesses, without using loaded terminology or judgmental language, respondents’ awareness of psi-related phenomena. Data was collected from roughly 1,400 Internet-using Americans. The research grant from the PF will cover analysis of the collected data.

Lisette Coly, President of the PF, noted, “I am so excited to be able to restart PF’s Grant program albeit on a shoestring. Choosing to honor Eileen Coly who during her long tenure as PF President oversaw a multitude of grants for valuable research I am sure she is pleased that we are able to support in a small way the work of Dr. Julie Beischel.”
